Traffic and Parking

At the beginning of every school year we find that the traffic and parking around the school precinct is busier than usual. We would expect that parents are being respectful to all members of our community and the wider community and following our parent code of conduct. Please be patient as new families get used to the routines. If parents can let grandparents know about the routines so that families are parking in the correct areas and not blocking Oceana drive through. At Ernest Street and Oceana Terrace children need to be able to independently get into the car and put their seatbelt on, adults cannot get out of the car as it impacts the flow of traffic. I thank you for your support.

Upcoming trial of new Roadways Behaviour Monitoring System in selected Queensland school zones

In a world-first road safety initiative, new speed camera technology will soon target speeding drivers at selected school zones across Queensland.Everyone has a role in keeping our roads safe. It is imperative drivers reduce their speed to the signed 40 km/ h speed limit and be aware of activity by students on or near the road. Speed cameras will only operate during school zone times at the selected schools. Parents and carers dropping off or picking up students are urged to comply with school zone speed limits. Those who slow down will not be penalised.
