The Premier’s Reading Challenge has now commenced, so it’s time to get ready for this year’s
fun reading challenge. The challenge is not a competition but aims to improve literacy and
encourage children to read widely for pleasure and learning. At St John Vianney’s we are all
readers! All Prep - Year 2 students will complete the challenge as a class and do not need
to complete an individual reading record.
However, if your child wishes to complete their
own record, please see your child’s teacher or download a copy from Teams. Many young
readers love to write up their own reading record, providing a real sense of achievement.
All Years 3-6 students will be registered and are required to complete their own individual
reading record. Students can draw up their own list of the books they have read while at
home or download a reading record from Teams or collect a copy on their return to school.
Reading continues through until August so lots of time to read!
