Mission Month

October is 'Mission Month'. Each October we raise funds for Catholic Mission to support the work that they do in supporting the most vulnerable in our country and world.

Please note on your calendar that SJV will celebrate 'Soctober' on October 30th (where we will 'sock it to poverty'). On this day children may wear their brightest/craziest socks to school with their school uniform. Other activities/events will take place on this day to raise awareness of those who Catholic Mission support. Students are asked to bring a gold coin or what they can afford to donate to Catholic Mission to continue their life giving work.

Next week our Catholic Identity Student Leaders will provide more information in this newsletter. You can learn more about Catholic Mission here:  https://www.catholicmission.org.au/about-catholic-mission
